Traditional German Soup
March 30, 2017
German cuisine has evolved as a national cuisine through the years. With our German Set Menu this March, we offer our guests a culinary journey to Germany.
You may find the soup below strange. This is a Frittatensuppe and may not everybody’s daily soup here in the Philippines.
This soup is also known as Flädlesuppe - a Pancake Soup or simply Crepe Broth originally comes from Bavaria.
Frittatensuppe is traditionally a homemade beef broth crowned with rolled up and thinly sliced pancake strips called Frittatas.
What goes in it?
It has a couple of sliced up hearty thin European Pancakes or Crepes and a good strong broth. It has mouthful vegetable and beef or chicken – best served while piping hot, sprinkled with fresh Chives or Parsley.
German Frittatensuppe is a powerful and satisfying soup for the cold breeze of Silang – just around Tagaytay, where the Rustic home of Chateau Hestia proudly serves our home recipes using the conventional slow-cooking process.
